Banjo Cottage from Cape Cornwall Road

Built in the late eighteenth century, this attractive granite terraced cottage was restored and renovated in 2006 and refurbished in 2015. We try and maintain it to the highest standards.

The back of the cottage faces South, overlooking its sheltered and secluded walled garden and paved patio.

Downstairs

Living Room

Recently restored granite inglenook fireplaceThe blue front door opens into the living room. On your right is the sitting room with a granite inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove. The dining area is to your left.

There is a TV with DVD player, and a selection of books, DVDs and games.

 

The kitchen & bathroom are through the archway.

Kitchen

The kitchen is modern and well equipped, with an electric oven and induction hob, a large fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, washing machine, a tumble dryer and a NutriBullet.

Bathroom

A spacious room with a big bath, a large separate powerful shower, heated towel rail and the toilet.

The Garden

The walled garden also has a picnic table

The back door leads to a sheltered patio and the beautiful secluded walled garden. This has one of the few trees in St. Just, as well as a large camellia and a mature fuschia hedge.

There is a a round table and chairs on the grass and a picnic table on the patio.

Upstairs

 

Stairs from the living room lead to the first floor where there is a large master bedroom with a king size bed and a second bedroom with twin beds and new mattresses (2022).

Dogs and parking

A maximum of two well behaved dogs are welcome.

There is no private parking but there is usually parking on the street outside.

On arrival

You’ll find a  Cornish Cream Tea waiting for you – and a bottle of wine.

Coffee, tea, milk and sugar are provided.

There will be flowers on the table and a copy of the latest ‘Cornishman’ with all the local news.

Your beds will be made up with freshly laundered sheets and pillowcases.

Bath and hand towels are provided.

The wood burner will be prepared with extra hardwood logs stacked up.

The Cook Book

The award winning Cook Book Café and Second-hand Book Shop is next door. They serve breakfasts, lunches, coffees, teas and cakes and have a wonderful selection of over 5,000 second-hand books for sale. Take-away food and drink is available.
